As soon as I opened the container, I noticed a powerful but pleasant lemon smell. The loaf itself is basically like a poppy seed muffin. There isn't much lemon flavor coming from the loaf, but there is definitely a hint. You notice the poppy seed crunch and flavor more. The loaf is nice and moist, soft and fluffy, It's really delicious.
